Welcome
Hi, welcome to MonsterGirlQuest Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the User:Unfortunate Mermaid page.
Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Juni221 (Talk) 22:09, February 26, 2012
Hey bro. Thanks for doing so much for the wiki. Between the two of us, you're doing pretty much everything. I'm sorry I can't really do more than upload pics and make pages, but I've never been a good writer(describer?). But I'll continue to help out in any way I can.Juni221 05:10, March 3, 2012 (UTC)
How in the world are you doing the infobox thing on the pages? I can't figure it out.
Whoops, forgot my signature.Juni221 09:47, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

The InfoBox coding is detailed here.
Congratulations! You are now a member of the FOUR HEAVENLY EDITORS!!!! XD Shadowblade777 03:20, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
So why didn't you call yourself Unfortunate Merman?
I'm not going to take my chances. ~Slur
I've actually been thinking about that for awhile, but I can't think of any colors that would fit the wiki, or what would be a good backround. If you want to experiment, and see what looks good, go ahead. It would be better than the bland backround and colors we have now.Juni221 10:48, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
So I saw that you're making a Scenario. What kind of scenario is it gonna be, and what's it about? Juni221 00:20, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
Additions
If you don't mind, could you do more additions to the rest of the monster pages as well as some touch-ups to locations? Kthxbye~ Shadowblade777 (talk) 01:12, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
Just a friendly Howdydo
Thanks for helping to set up this wonderful wiki. I look forward to being a part of it.ClickWhirr (talk) 23:57, March 27, 2013 (UTC)
I expect very fruitful collaboration. ClickWhirr (talk) 01:21, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
Fan Networking
Speaking of fandoms, has there been any attempts for the English language fandom and the Japanese fan community to communicate? I grant that there is a language barrier, but surely there must be fans that are fluent in Japanese, or English, so as to facilitate communication? I plan on making frequent visits to your talk page, to discuss many things.ClickWhirr (talk) 22:09, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
None sofar. I have no idea where the japanese community resides on the web. In the west we have the fanbase spread around Youtube, Tumblr, deviantArt and Facebook so if a forum was started we would need to communicate that fact on all those channels, but finding the Japanese peeps is a little harder. Nonetheless, they have also developed more extra content and finding them would be beneficial.
Unfortunate Mermaid (talk) 17:34, April 1, 2013 (UTC)
They probably have their own networks and services, so it would be difficult. However, the person behind "Hero" (whatever your opinion on that work) has been in close communication with Torotoro. The latter being in the doujinshi scene, I would not be surprised if he has a direct relationship with the fandom. Perhaps he might give some suggestions and leads. The benefits are potentially enormous, including the development of better translations, reliable news, art, and even collaboration on fanworks.ClickWhirr (talk) 17:51, April 1, 2013 (UTC)
I'm more in the mind that the Hero idea came from a few traded emails to see how the copyright stands rather than a close connection seeing that the developer seemed to pop out of the blue on all channels quite late into the series' development., I do know that DGate is a Japanese developer (the one behind the Cecil scenes) that is fairly close to MGQ in some sense and has links to some of the artists used like FRFR. Failing that, the Linemarvel forums are also a good place to find the freshest links/leaks from Japan and (if you can stomach it) 4chan.

Problem
Hey there,i believe you should take a look at Luka's page it looks like there is something wrong with a pictures on there check between last of angelic powers and the beggining of relationships section
Safin117 (talk) 00:58, April 15, 2013 (UTC)
I haven't changed any of the formatting or code. What seems to be the problem? Is it that the lower images are smaller than the others?
Unfortunate Mermaid (talk) 01:07, April 15, 2013 (UTC)
Images
Unfortunate Mermaid, the photo that I added to Lencubus was a pre-existing photo that had already been uploaded to the site by ClickWhirr. The "image" box in the template on the Lencubus page had a mispelling, which caused the image to not be shown. I simply corrected the spelling.
I'm have a bad eye for detail, so I pretty much avoid editing images altogether, so anything that I upload will be as I found it.

I like this game and this Wiki. I am having a problem with the Cecil's Adventure Side Stories. No matter how many time I download it, or even WHERE I download it from, the nscript file will not work. In other words, the nscript file I get with the download is not the correct one. Where can I get the nscript file that WILL work with Cecil's Adventure? Many of the links I do find do not work, and the ones that do, do not contain the proper nscript file. Could you please help me in this matter? I would really love to go through Cecil's Side Stories.......and yes, I copied the nscripts I got with the downloads into the Mod folder, and they do not work. Thanks in advance.Jjhanzely (talk) 05:03, May 1, 2013 (UTC)JJ Hanzely.
Hey. Thanks for the help. It works now. I didn't know it was supposed to be copied to the Monster Girl 2 file, and not to the MOD file. Thanks again =)Jjhanzely (talk) 17:57, May 1, 2013 (UTC)JJ Hanzely
RE: Tidying Up
Was gone a day so late response:
- 1. You can hide the contents list on a page with the command __NOTOC__ or move it with __TOC__ (this will move the Table Of Contents to that location and will overwrite the NOTOC command)
- 2. I think the side stories pages needs a revamp anyway. How about, instead of sorting on the stories on story-name, sorting them on author with three special groups for:
- ♦New / recently updated stories (at the top and always un-hidden)
- ♦Stories included with the (translation) download (like the battle sample's)
- ♦Stories by unknown authors
- 3. For the items, you can indeed put them on 1 page and then group them by type (as they are grouped in categories now)
- 4. Can't seem to be able to open A's link but I think it is meant to either change the image after X seconds and/or change the previous/next links depending on what page you can from. For example:
- You can get to Alma Elma in the story order from 5/6 pages: Tamamo, Sea Cucumber Girl, Cerberus, Yuki-onna, Giganto Weapon or Tamamo again.
- I think that it would be the easiest to change the links to the previous / next monster based on a #link (like when you click the contents link) that you place on the previous page (for example instead of [[Alma Elma]] you place [[Alma Elma#n1]] to indicate that you clicked the "next" link on Cerberus page (as the default will be the same as it is now, you don't have to special link the first / default Tamamo, although you do need to link the last version)
- I don't know how realistic / possible this is (especially with the current info-box, it might be easier to make a new info-box for this type of recurring monsters)
EDIT: Ok now I can see the page again and A did mean something else then I had in mind. Found a few pages that might help with that idea, but the idea I mentioned above still counts: 1 2
link 1, requires wikia code editing, I think.
link 2. On the wiki by defeault (I'm using it now :P). Templates can be used in it too, see tab 3

Hmm that works but it’s really ugly… something integrated with Template:InfoBox Char would be better if possible… like a small icon at the top of the InfoBox to switch around, or something.--ALAKTORN (talk) 11:39, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
It was just an example to show that there are already (pre-made) solution that you can use or use code from to make an own version.
FurRiffic (Talk) 14:06, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
Looks like Runescape has an idea of what we are after. I'll see what I can reverse engineer in the meantime.

It seems all our options rely on the same thing, placing separate infoboxes under one heirarchy. I'm currently looking into how we can change the styles of tabber for the moment until I can find an alternative. But you can see any developments at Template:Multiple Infobox Example.
I have found a Javascript feature called "Toggle" which Wikia recommend but I'll need more time to work out what it can do, how to implement it and if we can make it an optional entry so it can only appear on the relevant infoboxes.
Unfortunate Mermaid (talk) 16:58, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
Like the idea for the items page, but not the executions. I would change two things:
- 1. Instead of our wikia text have the game text + item name be in the box.
- 2. Use different colors.
FurRiffic (Talk) 22:16, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
What colours would you suggest? I just used colours we have for other boxes to start off with. I'm also trying to work out how to put a small clear space in the boxes for the flavour text, once I work that out, putting in the code so you can have both in the templates will be easy. I'm just worried about the the page looking too busy so I was using the flavour text to divide the item entries a bit more clearly.

Page Deleting
Why? Shadowblade777 (talk) 06:42, May 4, 2013 (UTC)
We don't need the ones that are being deleted. We're combining all the items onto one page so we don't have a pile of stubs that will never be updated, as it makes much more sense. This is also something agreed on by more than just myself.
