We had a crazy night tonight. about 80-100 people and shit was hitting the fan. The Manager kept coming back almost every table complaining "This dish is too cold, this pasta is too salty! We're NOT. That. Fucking. Busy!" And when I ran outside to get some fresh produce to slice up, I noticed our entire parking lot was full of cars. I don't even want to know his definition of "busy." And I had a ton of orders at once. I had so much orders crammed into my head, I completely forgot I had some appetizers in the deep fryer or on the stove and they burnt to a black husk and stuck together. So I had to start over. Twice.

At the end of the night when things calmed down, the head chef said the manager wanted to speak to me. He calmly pulled me to the side and said "I appreciate your interest here, but I'm going to have to let you go. I found someone else with a higher working experience." I didn't cry, I didn't yell. I just nodded and smiled at him like a mature adult and said, "That's fine, I understand. These things happen." But he did pay me for working the week. About 400 bucks if I counted correctly. Am I upset? Yes. Am I going to cry? No. Like I said, stuff like this happens all the time and I need to just jump right back up on the horse and keep trying. I'm not going to fret over this, I'm just going to think of the positives. I can finally enjoy and relax the rest of my weekend without having to worry about work or exhaustion.

I just hope that Mina, or Alma, or hell; even Ilias and the power of MGQ is enough to cheer me up.  Right now I'm just trying to relax and rest my feet and put my mind at a state of ease and relaxation...
