Chimeras, or Chimeric Monsters as named by their creator, are sets of (often) mindless, yet specialized monsters created by Promestein. They were designed to hinder Luka and allies in their progress, as well as terrorize the world around them. Unlike a normal monster, when sealed, they dissolve into a lot of various parts before their base is revealed, for example the Chimera Beast sheds a lot of loose meat until a live tiger was revealed as its base. Being specialized in order to deal with various threats, the chimeras have a notable weakness against those of which they do not target, as seen when Alice did not manage to land a scratch on the Chimera Dryad with Omega Blaze, while Luka was able to defeat it with a bit of effort on his part.
A set of chimeras appear in Remina, preventing anyone, monster and human alike, from entering.
Chimeras generally fall into three distinct categories: random-type monsters that use a woman or even an angel as the base, beast-based monsters which exhibit different parts around a bestial core, and somewhat mech-based monsters.
The chimeras specialize in the weaknesses of those who they target, as the Next Dolls have been seen in order to defeat the Four Heavenly Knights with ease at the end of Chapter 2. Promestein also produced artificial Four Spirits, granting most, if not all, chimeras the power that rivals Granberia's.
The chimeras that appear in Chapter 3 seem to be more intelligent than their older variants and regard themselves as a whole new generation of monsters rather than just one particular facet of the monster race in general.
